Flight Park State Recreation Area

Admission: Free to visit. It looks like there are a few locations where membership is not required to fly. However, membership is open to anyone involved or interested in the sport of Paragliding and Hang Gliding. Annual dues are $50 for individuals, $150 for instructors, $25 for one week or $5 for one day. (See member benefits below).

Utah State Parks and Recreation and the Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (UHGPGA) are partnering to preserve this unique recreation area that is an excellent site for teaching and gathering experience for flyers of all levels. It is known worldwide as one of the best training sites for both paragliding and hang gliding. Flight Park State Recreation Area is being jointly managed by Utah State Parks and Recreation and the Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association. Directions: Take Exit 288 off Interstate 15, then drive east to the frontage road, which is called Minute Man Drive, and turn right. Follow it south for about 2.5 miles (drive carefully – there are many very large construction vehicles coming and going). Turn left on the dirt road just past the construction buildings (There's a sign for "Point Of The Mountain Flight Park"). Follow the road up to the top of the mesa and turn left into the parking area.
